Kesian hubby tak sihat hari ni. I had to call his bosses that he wasnt coming to work. He struggled so much last night. Boss dia called later today suruh dia stay at home, ye la supaya dia tak spread his germs to everyone else. I'm not sure if it's a bacterial or viral, but I'm sure to drug him lots & make him do all the things that aku slalu bebel2 kat patients when they come in with URTI======> gargle with salt water, drink lotsa lotsa water, rest, keep warm, analgesia/ anti-histamine.
Tapi tu la, like any other non-compliant men (ops, sorry guys if u r not like this), hubby is a little like that. Susah nak suruh dia comply to some simple measures nak jadi sihat. Cam mana nak buat ye? Aku slalu je kutuk patients yg degil2 bagai tu. Hmmm...
Anyways, hubby requested me to make bubur nasi like my mum's. Aku gi jawab.. 'Tau, tau, I tau makan maknyer bubur nasi. Hehehehe'.
Kesian kat dia punye pasal aku buat la dia bubur nasi perisa ayam & goreng some begedil, skali dengan fresh steamed vegies. Lama gila tak buat begedil. Mebbie last time masa zaman student dulu, inspirasi Dr. AA (now kat Kelantan).
Ni resepi gabungan yg Dr. AA ajar dulu & inspirasi sendiri. Rupa dia takde la menarik mana, tapi sedap je kat tekak aku & yg penting kat tekak hubby jugak =)
Bahan-bahan:
- 3 jacket potatoes (aaiiyooo.. baru perasan ada sebiji je dlm pantry.. isk..isk..isk..).
- 300g-500g minced meat (I used beef).
- 1/2 brown onion* (or better shallots, but aku takde shallots).
- seulas kecik garlic*.
- cili padi* (aku guna 7 biji cili padi hijau yg one of the ED nurses sedekah kat aku hari tu).
- sedikit ginger*.
- garam secukup rasa.
- 2 biji telur.
- tepung jagung (aku campur ngan tepung gandum biasa coz tepung jagung tinggal satu sudu besar je.. isk..isk..isk)
Cara-cara:
- kupas kulit potatoes tu & rebus or masak je dlm microwave kasi lembut.
- blend je sumer yg tanda * (kalau rajin guna lesung or batu giling).
- bersihkan minced meat tadi & tapis elok2.
- combine all the bahan yg dah blend dgn minced meat dlm mangkuk besar. tambah garam secukup rasa.
- potatoes yg dah masak tadi patut mesh, tapi aku malas so mesh skali dgn minced meat/spices tadi (sebiji je kan).
- kepalkan dia, celup dlm telur yg dipukul & celup dlm tepung. Pas tu goreng sampai garing.

Tadi tengah hari aku gi Priceline kat Chadstone sana to look for some disolvable aspirin for hubby. Bagus utk gargle kasi numb the throat area.
Dia kasi free satu beg full of freebies.
Note: fatblaster shakes pon ada dlm tu. Ada tampon, mekaps, handbag holder, fish oil supplement (mungkin tak halal coz dlm capsule & dia tak ckp safe for vegetarians). Some stuff including that fish oil tu aku nak give away nanti (banyak sangat mekap dah aku ni.. hehehehe).

i suka sangat makan bergedil.. hehe.. tak jemu makan bergedil ni kan.. bubur nasi ayam yg u buat tu nampak sedap macam bubur lambuk dah ni..
btw, u r coming back kan next week, regarding harumanis bt the time u balik harumanis tu dah habis musim rasanya... lagipun kat kl memang tak ada orang jual harumanis... takpe nanti next year insyaAllah ada rezeki u... sekitar april-mei..
lagipun this year cuaca panas extreme, harumanis pun berbuah tak berapa banyak katanya...

Bubur tu i buat tak pernah pas la. Kena berguru dgn my mum cam mana dia buat.
hehe.. next year if u balik like end of april or early may gitu insyaAllah ada harumanis.. :)
btw lama juga u balik kan about a week... sempat la for jalan2 cari makan activity with your family...

Takde la lama mana. Masa student dulu 2,3 bulan. Ni seminggu je. Jadi la utk melepas rindu kat family.
bestnyer bubur...i rasa nak buat la..jaga tekak jugak hehe..
