Been a while...

Its been a while since I last wrote anything. Vitamin M bermaharaja lela, as always. Also been busy with work etc. 

Anyways, the past half a week been great in terms of the weather. I mentioned before, a great weather brings a lot of positivity in everything.

I'm going to change the way I write. I love writing. I love this blog. It's been my mini outlet (all the smart & dumb things). But unfortunately, it is getting harder to sit & write properly due to time constraints (alasan je kot). 

Last weekend:
Friday- went to see Fantastic Beast movie with the other half & a couple of our friends. Me no see movie, that's me all the time. So went in with low expectations, plus I've never seen the rest of Harry Potter movies nor read the series (probably the only one on the planet, Harry has never interested me anyway). But really enjoyed the movie tbh. And we spent a few hours eating pancakes & borak2 at the nearby 24-hour Pancake Parlour. Nak celebrate bday Dr. A.

Saturday- Lepak, laundry 4,5 rounds (reasons many rounds ialah I tend to separate my gentle white, gentle coloured, towels/sweaters, daily mixed, etc, tu yg bunyi mcm byk gila laundry). Also went to Marmara, Dandenong, to get some party pies & deli meat for tomorrow's adventure. 32°c!

Sunday- Went to Cherry Haven, Wandin East with some friends from Malaysia. Someone I used to go to high school with. She used to study here, last here was 12yrs ago! 32°c today too! Woohoo! Great cherries. Sent them back to their AirB&B. We got stuck for a few moments on Exhibition St/ Bourke St because ada rally oleh group 'Say No to Racism'. Banyak police. Apparently hari ni both right & left wing groups ada rally.

Happy Anniversary, 12years in Australia

I am supposed to study coz VIVA anatomy & pathology next week. But.. I hafta post this..

12yrs ago I was this little innocent kid arrived in Melbourne, it was foggy n freezing. Didnt kno anything much about Australia, couldnt understand the accent, couldnt stand the weather, couldnt stand the homesickness.. Life was tough then but great experience. Thanks much to everyone here who've been with me along the journey & still with me, & especially doa keluarga n those close to me di sana I'm wiser, stronger & still going..
Happy anniversary to me & those who were with me along the journey at that time.. We are still standing & going..
Goshhh, what a lifetime, I am sooo old now..

It was spring, it was cold, fog came out of our mouth. We had to listen hard & careful to all these locals talking to us.. Unknown foreign country, kinda scary actually... (drama to be continued).

Okay, back to studying. 

Our very rushed short Adelaide trip but very worth while

Lama gila tak jengah sini. Seperti biasa alasah lapuk yg semua pon dah bosan dengar. Malas, busy with work. Hehe.
Malam ni kerja night shift sampai la Khamis malam, abis pagi Jumaat. And then on-call over the weekends. So everyone, please doakan aku tak perlu called in for the weekends, please doakan kesihatan & keselamatan all the registrars so that aku tak perlu menjengah work on the weekends. InsyaAllah. Amin.

Aku & hubby baru balik frm Adelaide pagi tadi. Penat gila. We spent 2 days there basically. Semuanye rushed & a very short time to spend in a new place. Hubby's buddy's wedding, di mana kami dapat the invitation way early this year, but I guess I never thought that I would actually go due to exams, work commitment, etc, so kami tak permah confirmed to go anyways, even though hubby mmg nak sgt pegi. And all the hotel & flight booking semuanye sangat2 last minute, aku rasa abah sure kena heart attack kalau tau this last minute kami punye kerja. Hehe.

I was working Friday night until midnight, didnt leave the hospital that early. Packed last minute. Didnt sleep that night. I think hubby pon tak cukup tido gak, dlm 2,3 jam je mlm tu. Pagi almost 5am bertolak ke airport. I felt like I was flying when I was driving to the airport, semuanye rasa keawang-awangan. Letih + tak tido mlm tu. Alhamdulillah semua selamat sampai kat airport even tho kami kena lari2 dari parking ke terminal. Lambat gila checked in, we were the last people to check in, and luckily airport punye org made it easy for us bila dah lambat2 tu. Seb baik kami bukan the last people to board the plane. Some turbulence on the plane & aku tak dpt tido.
Dr. S. picked us up frm the airport that pagi buta. Aku & hubby sangat2 appreciate their hospitality & kindness that a.m. Breakie jap & main2 with the sweet princess, Alysha, then I had the opportunity to take a very short nap kat rumah Dr. S & Dr. D. Kesian hubby tak rehat, I think dia segan kot. Hubby managed to book a rental car frm Thrifty thru the net kat rumah Dr. D. Kami rush ke tpt kereta afta lunch. Then terus checked in, tukar baju utk gi wedding. Aku pakai the only baju kebaya yg muat for the wedding (dah gemok!!!), itu pon kena unhook the kain & the zip head tinggalkan a bruise on the skin kat my waist.. hehehe. Haru.
Btw, the wedding is somewhere in the valley. Sejuks gilaaaaaaaa! Nice area & everything was beautiful. Many hours afta that, just b4 midnight baru kami drove back to the city. My first ever encounter meeting with a kangaroo on the road, dia kinda selamba je jumped in front of our car masa tgh turn bukit dari valley tu. Sebab dia tak takut kat kereta even tho kami honked, so kami pon drove slowly behind it & amik gambar. Haha. Hubby cakap dia plak yg rasa cam floating je balik dari wedding tu sampai hotel. Sampai bilik dah hampir midnight kami terus basically dead. Dah abis Saturday kami.

Pagi Sunday until late afternoon spent time with hubby's bunch of friends, kat city & kat Adelaide Hills. Balik pon rushed jugak. Packed sket2 prior going to Dr. D & Dr. S. place that early evening. Her mum made us a lovely hearty dinner nasi ayam & apple crumble. Sedap gila, sampai lupa amik gambar food. Alysha wasnt well that evening, but then she picked up & became hyper, mebbie coz of the paracetamol & some chocolate (ooppsss.. my bad! Sorry, Dr. D.). Watched some video's & photos of Alysha, main2 dengan dia sampai aku pon rasa mengah hahahha. Watched a short episode of Modern Family with them, then kol 9+pm balik ke hotel. Sedih la such a short time spent dgn Dr. D. & Dr. S. tak sempat nak buat apa2. Sampai hotel even tho still early, kami dah basically still rasa nak mati & terus tido lepas solat.

We woke up at 4am on today. Drove to the airport & dropped the car. Had quick breakie afta checked in. Aku ternap dlm 1/2hour dlm plane back to Melbourne, hubby plak blom terbang dah padam dah. Sampai Melbourne aku terus drove him to his work, & aku drove to Dandenong straight frm the city to get some halal meat & vegies (dah 2minggu tak masak betul2.. =P opps). Balik tu dah lewat sangat. Such a beautiful dah but alas I couldnt spend it properly. Had some munchies then terus padam atas katil.

There, my hectic weekends, I thought I didnt want to go coz of work/ assignments/ presentations/ etc. I'm soooo glad I made it. Very refreshing even tho semuanye rushed gila. Managed to see the people that I wanted to see for sooo long. Wish we had more time though.
Thanks Dr. D. & Dr. S & Alysha for the lovely time spent together even tho sangat2 short. Hugs. Semoga kita jumpa lagi.

Now its time to get ready to work. Next time aku tulis lagi about our trip to Adelaide, etc. Harap2 aku ok mlm ni sampai pagi coz unfortunately 2 junior docs yg in charge of the department today :(

Lebih sedekad suda & stuff

Waaahhh.. DaisyPath kat atas tu kata dah genap 10 thn setengah aku kat bumi asing ni. Nak masuk 11 tahun tu. Gilaaaaa lamaaaaaa! Macam-macam kisah hidup kat sini, boleh buat novel bersiri cam Sweet Valley High dulu tu (ingat tak?). Each time I look back at those times aku kat sini, it makes me wonder, have all these made me wiser & stronger.. or have I wasted a whole 10 & 1/2 yrs all along...

Anyways, its way past midnight dah ni. Tadi kat Chaddy, biasa la aku, byk melencong. Senaman la katakan. Senaman indoor, senaman plastic card jugak. Hehhehehe..

Balik tadi terperasan plak satu pokok bunga kat laman rumah. Selama ni tak perasan plak aku dia ada bunga gini. Selalu nampak pokok tu kosong je. And aku pon tak pernah siram coz pokok-pokok bunga yg tak significant ni slalunye aku biar je. Sebab takleh makan. Tetiba ada bunga plak. Gambar ni gegar bukan pasal tangan aku gegar, tapi pasal angin tiup. =P
Kadang tu aku rasa blog ni dah jadi cam blog 'Selamat Berkenalan Dengan Alam Sekitar' plak. Asik-asik gambar pokok, pemandangan, pokok, pemandangan, pokok lagi.. sket2 selingan masakan aku yg ala kadar, or iklan barang-barang time tengah psychotic. Hehehhe.

Ni dinner aku masak tadi. Merasa akhirnye aku nak makan kari. Alhamdulillah. Harap-harap lauk kali ni tak masuk tong sampah after a few days.

Takde la aku masak bersungguh-sungguh kali ni coz aku cuti lagi esok. Then start night shifts for the weekends, and aku slalunye masak bersungguh jugak on my night shifts coz slalu bangun awal petang & utk food bawak bekal.

Hari ni cuaca sangat best utk laundry, picnic, lepak kat beach, sunbathing kat lawn, etc. Pendek kata best utk outdoor activities, after weeks of cold, wet weather.

nak gi baca pasal stroke for my prezo Wednesday week nanti. Aku menyampah Neuro!!!! (sebab malas nak buat physical examinations neuro.. hehehehe).

Talking about being mentally disturbed & $$...

Kol 730am tadi aku nyer case prezo depan all the physicians & their trainees. Ada sorang surgeon buat case prezo gak sebelum aku. All in all, semuanye berjalan lancar. Aku takde la gementar mana. Dah praktis dalam mimpi malam tadi & masa tgh siap2 pagi tadi. Hehe. 2 prezo dah buat last week. This week Thursday ada personal tuition dari senior ED reg & pas tu plak advanced life support training (ALS) as part of the CME. Hmm.. gitu la life seorang ED trainee. Timetable pon penuh manjang, lagi teruk dari masa jadi resident dulu. I guess, jadi trainee apa-apa pon kena adad commitment, dedication & sacrifice (unless jadi GP.. tapi training GP kena gi rural area which I'm soooo sick of already).

Balik je dari prezo tadi, singgah Chaddy jap, ada la hal-hal book keeping (kononnye).

Mendung & sejuk!!

Terlalu depan kedai kasut.. uhuk uhuk!! Ternyopping jap. Hehehhe. Semalam dah nyopping abis, konon-konon nak menyeronokkan hati yg duka-lara. Dah lama tak shopping, dah tu kat Myer & K-Mart ada sales. Hmmmmhhh... bulan depan dapat bill credic card, nangis semula nampaknye. Punye la janji dgn diri sendiri awal tahun ari tu nak berbelanja dgn bijak & lebih berjimat-cermat.

Saja nak lupakan my sinful purchases tu, malam tadi aku masak la dgn gigihnye. Dah 2 minggu tak masak. Asik makan rubbish je, mana tak otak aku pon jadi sampah. Masak byk sket sebab sepanjang minggu ni aku kerja PM shift, balik midnight, mana nak masak.

Uiih.. byk plak aku masak. Ye la, takde la hubby bosan makan menda yg sama je. Lagipon boleh la bawak bekal kan. Jimat. (Boleh shopping lagi)

Dr. HAK singgah join dinner. Ternganga la jugak dia tengok aku masak dgn bombastiknye... ahahhaha.. apa je la bombastik plak. Kang seminggu dua lagi aku mandom je la.

Ferry & Strawberries

Waaahh.. cantik gitu tarikh hari ini: 11.1.11. Menarik kan kalau ada budak lahir pada 1111hours 11.1.11 (di alaf millennium lah kan, bukan tahun 1911 ke 1811 ke). Aku doakan yg lahir tu bakal menjadi pahlawan yg berbakti kepada agama Islam, bangsa & negara. :') :') :') Cewah, mulia tak doa & harapan aku tuh? Wakakakakkaaa... Jgn kurus sgt cam nombor 1 tu dah la. Nombor 1 dlm semua menda baik takpe.

Apa aku buat pada pukul 11.11 tadi? Masih bermimpi dalam katil lagi. Ingat nak stay up sampai kol 9 ke apa so that seharian boleh tido before starting night shift malam ni. Tapi dah padam lepas Subuh. Letih gilaaaa berperang di dapur mlm tadi. Dah hampir sebulan aku kureng sihat sejak balik from Port Campbell hari tu. Baru perasan semalam baru stop coughing. Ye la, slalunye bila dah baik from viral common cold, the residual cough can persist up to 2 months. Tu la pasal kena sentiasa sabar & minum air byk2 + rehat cukup (+ doa berzikir ngaji) kalau dah dapat selsema tu.

Ni aku ni patut dah berjaga lama dah ni patutnye pegi la study ke or work on my presentation. Hari tu aku dicekup oleh one of the ICU bosses to wakilkan ICU utk Critical Care internal conference ujung bulan nih. Sebab the registrars yg the boss suruh tu tak bleh buat. Aku yg kebetulan ada kat situ terperangkap dan dicekup. Aiiyoooo.. sesak nafas aku balik. Conference tu nanti akan dihadiri oleh the big bosses + the trainees of ICU, Anaesthetics & Emergency Medicine. Uhuk uhuk!!
Aaaahh.. layan blog lagi best. Tenang sket fikiran aku nih. Hopefully dapat la tido sejam dua during the shift nanti. Kalau tak mati la aku.

Ok, ni sambung apa citer lepas kami balik from Port Campbell. Still on the Monday of 20th Dec 2010. Hari ke-2 of our roadtrip.

Lalu jalan dalam menuju ke arah Queenscliff coz nak naik ferry ke seberang sana. Niat nak gi strawberry picking kat Sunny Ridge. Tersesat la plak masuk ke northern area. Jalan baru, tapi Melway yg aku guna ialah Melway tahun 2005 masa mula-mula memandu di Melbourne ni. Tapi coz awal lagi, baru je after midday, so aku patah baliklah ke Geelong then terus ke Queenscliff. On the way from the west to Queenscliff coz byk construction tu yg takde sign board gi sana. But coming from Melbourne, byk gilaaaa road signs utk ke Queenscliff. Fuh, jauh jugak from Geelong to Queenscliff tu. Tengok map cam sikit je jalan. Sampai-sampai je seb baik tak ramai org & we took the 210pm ferry. Merasa la jugak aku nak bawak family aku naik ferry, walaupon aku rasa diorang tak berapa heran sgt ferry kat Australia ni. Hahaha.

Sejuk bukan main lagi. Ntah apsal time nak naik ferry tu la time angin menggila. Aku yg nak berlagak macho terpaksa gak pakai scarf & winter jacket. And of course ferry pon goyang-goyang la coz ombak ganas. Kesian mak yg kadang-kadang allergic bot tu. Hehhehehee....

Aku ikut jalan dalam instead of lalu Arthur's Seat coz nak cepat sampai ke Sunny Ridge. Kalau lalu Arthur's Seat kena naik gunung yg bengkang-bengok. Aku ni dah la gayat, kang sampai atas sana kang tutup plak coz sure aku drive cam kura-kura nanti. Lalu jalan dalam senang sket, 80-100kmphr, gentle inclination. Kecewa sungguh bila sampai je kat Sunny Ridge tu U-Pick tutup coz cuaca buruk Victoria menyebabkan tanaman strawberries tu hidup segan mati tak nak. Buah tak berkualiti. So kami berehat je la kat cafe dia makan ice cream & nyopping products strawberries e.g. buah, air, jam, etc. Ada gak some good quality cherries, so aku pon rembat la sket.

Kami lalu Arthur's Seat on the way back. Aku kira-kira cam cepat lalu jalan ni menuju ke Frankston Freeway then lalu jalan dalam sana. Ingatkan akan gayat coz menurun bukit curam tu. Not too bad coz org yg drive naik atas lebih gayat diorang kat outer side of the cerun then org yg turun. We stopped at multiple point tangkap2 gambar along the descending points: Chapman's, Murray's, Franklin's & Bowen's.

Meh tengok peta Australia ni jauh mana aku dah jalan from 19th Dec 2010 to 20th Dec 2010 with my family. From Chadstone to Port Campbell lalu M1, Citylink then Great Ocean Road. Balik from Port Campbell to Queenscliff to Sorrento to Mornington-Peninsula back to Chadstone. Seingat aku kalau tengok odometer tu ada la dalam 1000km kot aku dah drive dlm 2 hari tu, ni termasuk yg sesat ke northern area then patah balik ke Geelong tu.
Looking back, aku rasa sangat bersyukur dapat bawak family aku tengok the beauty of Allah's creations kat Port Campbell National Park tu. Lama dah aku bercita-cita nak bawak family aku but masa diorang datang dulu adik kecik aku ni kecik sgt, and biasa la budak kecik sure kureng appreciation kat menda-menda nature ni, unless kalau diorang dapat turun ke laut main air & pasir. Alhamdulillah.

Great Ocean Road: Port Campbell & back

Waaahh.. rasa lama betul tak update blog. I'm back to work afta 20days tak kerja annual leave hari tu. Depressed balik ni.. reality hits really hard.. huhuhu...
Anyways, ni baru lepas dinner. Gigih masak mcm utk kenduri je tadi coz I'll be working the 13-hour night shifts starting tomorrow night sampai Khamis malam. Selamat la daging bakar, nasi goreng, chicken pie & meat+mushroom pie. Cukup la tu makanan sampai tengah hari Jumaat nanti for both of us. Fuh.. letih you!!!

Anyways, ni sambungan road trip with my family hari tu. So, after the National Park, singgah jap kat Port Campbell town beli susu, etc. then we went back to the cabin. Masa kat kedai runcit tu, aku menyampah gila dgn si cashier bengong tu. Ada ke patut dia charge aku sampai au$60 utk sth yg jumlahnye cuma au$10 je. Seb baik aku perasan & tegur dia. Pas tu buat2 silap konon. Macam2 la kejadian dgn si bodoh nih. Last skali tu dia boleh biar je barang2 atas counter, takkan aku nak angkat sumer barang2 runcit tu dgn tangan. Bodoh betul si budak ni, sure tak skolah & tau nak ngepau duit tourist je. Hati aku ni memang cepat je panas dgn org2 yg bodo sombong cam ni. Oh ye, masa check in tu dia siap kasi susu sekotak kecik lagi. Tak cukup but ok la tu.

Okay la cabin ni, selesa sangat. Ada dapur lengkap dgn dishwashing detergent & fridge, byk katil, living room, tv + dvds, mags, boardgames, bbq area, iron + iron board, hot water, heater/air cond. Siap kasi towels + sabun lagi.

manusia paling rasa nak pengsan malam tu. Seb baik berjaya dihapuskan.

Memang tak tenteram jugak la aku tido malam tu. Aku kan penggeli insects sket. Cuak la jugak mana tau byk lagi tentera dia kat bawah katil ke kat celah-celah furnitures sumer tu. Eeeiiii.. yucks!

Esok paginye baru bertolak balik ke Melbourne. Kami lalu jalan dalam thru Colac instead of going along the coastal Great Ocean Road. Pendek sket jalannye tapi lalu kawasan ladang-ladang je la.

Ni saja je berhenti coz ada bandar Simpson tu =P

Went thru Colac and instead of balik terus ikut M1 tu, kami lalu Geelong then Queenscliff to catch the ferry ke seberang Sorrento sana. Nak singgah Sunny Ridge kejap to enjoy the strawberries.

Great Ocean Road: Port Campbell National Park2

Still on that Sunday, 19th Dec 2010.

The 3rd stop we went to kat Port Campbell National Park ialah kat Loch Ard George & sth tak ingat nama tpt tu. There's 2 cabang to this place, kami tak pergi the hujung sana coz my parents dah sakit kaki plus sejuks masa tu with wild winds even tho it was already sunny at that time.
