Amateur cook =) Bake, Grill, Roast, Desserts

Its been a while since I last babbled some rubbish here. Bukan apa, asik kerjaaaa je, kerja, kerja, kerja.. tak abis-abis. Social life merudum habis-habisan. No one else I see when I step out of my house other than my work colleagues (and of course motorists, the patients, etc).. tak sempat jumpa member-member. As far as I remember I've been working weekends like forever, termasuk la minggu ni & minggu depan.. bleh! My life is basically kerja & spending time with hubby. Macam terbantut plak menda yg sepatutnye aku buat dulu iaitu... register myself to the ACEM college AND beli tix balik M'sia!

Anyways, tak nak bebel byk2 pasal tu, or about study. It will only make me more depressed & miserable.

The other night, we went out for dinner kat Southland Westfield Mall. Lepas tu singgah jap kat Harris Scarfe & terjumpa this turbo convection oven on sale. I've been wanting a new oven for sooo long now considering that our oven is sooo crap & useless. (That's the main reason why I dont bake or grill or roast or making any dessert.. walaupon rasa diri ni mcm berbakat jugak :P). Aku nak yg cam TTM punye, tapi hubby suka yg ni (coz terpengaruh TV shopping advert).
Oh well, yg ni pon jadi la. Walaupon kecik & kena masak in batches if I'm thinking of making lots, yg penting dah ada oven. So boleh la bake, grill, roast and also blaja bake dessert yg aku suka.. YES!! Hubby & I dont really like dessert that much, other than fresh fruits.. but it seems like its gonna change. Nampaknye lepas ni kena senaman lebih sket la since dah ada Mr. Turbo ni. Hehehehehe.

Singer Turbo Convection Oven
Buat ANZAC biscuits, atas permintaan hubby. And brownie, atas permintaan nafsu chocolate aku. Hubby plak dah siap marinate some lamb chops utk dinner esok. Yaahooo...

ANZAC biscuits, jadi tapi rupa kureng jadi =P
Ni resepi nyer atas permintaan member2: (sourced from Taste.com.au)

ANZAC Biscuits:

  • 1 cup (150g) plain flour
  • 1 cup (90g) rolled oats (I used yg Quacker oat biasa tu)
  • 1 cup (85g) desiccated coconut
  • 3/4 cup (155g) brown sugar (I used normal white sugar, 1/2 cup, coz my sugar is super sweet already)
  • 125g butter
  • 2 tbs golden syrup (I used honey)
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- Preheat oven to 160°c (140°c for fan-forced oven). Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Cairkan butter with golden syrup, over medium heat. Then add soda bicarb to this mixture.
- Mix sifted flour with sugar, oats & desiccated coconut.
- Then add the melted butter + golden syrup + soda bicarb mixture. Mix properly. (Masa ni kalau nak masukkan serbuk koko ke, perisa rose ke, perisa vanila etc, sila la buat now).
- Buat bulat2 & penyet2kan dgn garpu (kasi bergaya sket). Letak atas baking tray.
- Bake for 10minutes or until golden brown.
- Note: the biscuits will be super soft, seakan-akan cair bila baru masak. They will harden once they are cool. Hasilnye sangat sedap.

Brownies yg tak jadi, dah selamat masuk dlm bin.
Resepinye tak nak bubuh sini coz tak jadi.

hhehehee. yg ni rasa & rupa huduh. so tak lalu sgt nak bubuh gambar kat sini :P
i kena praktis lagi betul2 jadi seciput hebat like u guys pon jadi la :D

hari tu gi southland sebelum gi kerja mlm. so tak sempat la k.nana.
balik m'sia blom tau lagi. kena plan betul2 dulu. nanti dah confirm i kasi tau.
